Sterling Alam Papers
The collection consists of 5 cartons of lecture notes from his years as a professor, political and personal correspondences, research materials, and general information from his interests in gerontology, human rights, and communes. Numerous magazines, reports, books, and newspaper articles have been retained, although many were removed from the collection. In addition, Alam collected political buttons, political cartoons, and comics, from which a sample was taken.

Wardrop Family Writings
Agnes Wardrop's writings include two compositions: one on physiology and the other a description of the Seminary building and rooms. An extract of letters describes Agnes Wardrop's life at school and the daily course of studies, 1836-37. Agnes’ student notebooks include: Extracts on [Watt's] Improvement of the Mind and Penmanship exercises.
Margaret Wardrop's, 1836 History and Bible Lessons are also found within the collection.

Wife of an Illinois Sawmill Worker's diary
One manuscript diary from 1892, written by the wife of a sawmill worker. Diary includes short notes on daily workers' activities and weather. Diary contains all comings and goings of the residence, along with a record of purchases, sales, and employee payments. Writer participated in and donated to her church's aid society. Residence somewhere between Chicago and Champagne, IL.
